I also sometimes forget to start/stop my tasks. However, I think a notification might be distracting if the user intentionally has no tasks active. Instead I am thinking of adding a "Adjust Time" action that will let you add time to a task if you forgot to start it or subtract time if you forgot to stop the task.
I will still keep this issue open incase the "Adjust Time" action doesn't work as planned.
I use the already existing "Set time" option today, this is easy enough to do. The key here is a reminder to start some task, if you don't want to ensure the user is "on task" then I think there is nothing to do.
Sometimes I forget to start any task, it would be great if light tasks would remind me to record my work.
Ideally it would tell you how long "no task" has been active so that the user can apply that time to what they were actually doing.
