Done:

• Integrated AWS S3 with the backend for file submissions (storing videos, images, audio etc for challenges)
• Implemented a couple endpoints on the backend - to search for users by username, to upload submissions to AWS S3 etc, to vote for challenges.
• Published postman docs for major endpoints
• Deployed the frontend
• Deployed the backend

Next:

• Nothing on my end is left for the project. I'll support the team if there is anything missing on the backend.
• I'll keep deploying changes often

Issues:

• The frontend team started the API integration late in the sprint and could not finish a lot in time - we still managed to finish the requirements, could not get to other goals in time but we're doing fine as a team :) We'll finish them by the deadline.

• Integrated challenge API endpoints

Next:

• Will finish the rest of the challenge api integrations and other appropriate api integrations that need to be made

Issues:

• Communication issues, didn't realize backend was completed until late into the sprint and ended up doing api integrations pretty late. Now that backend is complete I will be able to finish the rest of the functionality before the project deadline.

What I did:

• Implemented sign up flow by integrating the frontend with the backend POST /users endpoint. User is logged in after a successful signup.
• Implemented login flow by integrating the frontend with the backend POST /users/auth endpoint. User session is saved on local storage to keep the user logged in.
• Implemented the logout functionality.
• Implemented the profile page to display the logged-in user's basic info.
• Updated code to ensure the app's routing and app bar reflects the logged-in/logged-out state of the app. Specifically: options on app bar is updated on login and clicking on the rounders icon text redirects to the user's list of app's, instead of the general "Home" page.
• Added the app 2-sentence summary to the README.md repo (here on the frontend repo).
• Created the project_5 branches on both of our repo's to have them ready for the deliverable.

What I will do next:

• Implement the rest of our minimal and standard requirements.
• Talk to the team about our standard goal, "Ability to follow singers and view profiles". Since we still have a lot left to implement, should we really do this one or make it a stretch goal?

Issues:

• The backend team made the code available to us only four days ago (Tuesday July 21st) , so we only had those four days to work on the integration, as compared as other teams who had their backend code available over 2 weeks ago.
• Since sprint 2, the entire team has been starting working on staff too late, too close to the deadline. We will improve this so we can deliver all of our requirements in two weeks.

• Pair programmed with Manan to implement a few more endpoints
• Learned how to deploy the frontend and backend
• Added basic Redux functionality to create and see a list of all challenges connected to the API
• Only issue was that we started late implementing the API on the frontend, no other issues
• Work on the frontend to implement the last of our requirements

• Finish up what we have left in the front end such as viewing all challenges and being able to vote, viewing other's profile and following people.
