is not neccessarily a child of (http://xmpp.org/rfcs/rfc3920.html#tls) Pre-Binding did not reliably work for me with Prosody 0.9.4.

Thank you for your PR. I suggest you open another PR upstream at https://github.com/piotr-cz/xmpp-prebind-php . The world is still waiting for a robust prebinding library for PHP.
