It would be very helpful to have more color options for highlighting text in Joplin. Currently, the limited colors restrict the ability to categorize and prioritize notes effectively. Having a variety of colors would enhance note-taking and organization. Providing multiple highlight colors would allow users to:

Categorize information by color, making it easier to find and reference.
Prioritize tasks or notes based on their importance or urgency.
Personalize their note-taking experience to suit their preferences.

Current behaviour

Joplin currently offers a single color selection to highlight text. This limitation affects the ability to categorize information effectively. Users can only choose from a Screenshot from 2024-07-05 18-54-49 color, which might not be sufficient for detailed categorization or prioritization.

Expected behaviour

Adding a color picker tool or a predefined palette with at least 3 different colors.
Ensuring the colors are easily distinguishable and accessible to users with color vision deficiencies.

Examples: Many note-taking and document editing applications, such as Microsoft OneNote and Google Docs, offer a wide range of highlight colors, which significantly improves usability and user satisfaction. More highlight color options in Joplin would greatly enhance its functionality and user experience. Thank you for considering this request.
