I've just upgraded to Renderman 26.2 from version 25 and also upgraded Blender from version 4.1 to 4.2.3 and I can't seem to initiate a render anymore. I've tried rendering my previous projects and also a new fresh scene to the same effect. I've also tried Blender 4.2.0, 4.2.1 and 4.2.2.
When I press render in either RIS or XPU mode, the Blender render view pops up and then the whole application just shuts down. This happens whether I render to the Blender viewer or IT. Just to test things out I've went through the render options and toggled many different things on and off to see what the problem might be and I can't figure it out. This is happening in both CPU and GPU mode when using XPU too.
Here's a screenshot of my plugin in the preferences menu, as you can see, everything seems to have installed correctly and looks enabled as before.
Sometimes the window hangs and doesn't actually close and I can see a small notification in Blenders status bar that reads could not connect to the stats server. Not sure what that's about.
Is there any way to get some sort of logging information somewhere so I can try and diagnose the problem?
Okay I've solved it. I have no idea what the problem was. After a period of uninstalling, clearing all Renderman data and reinstalling multiple times, it's working now.
