Thanks for this report @dszidi.
I have successfully installed to an EFI system. So it would be interesting to know:
/usr/local/bin/furybsd-install
? Do you need to choose any non-default options there to make it work?I pulled out another device (Dell Venue Pro) and the same USB stick installed and rebooted flawlessly. I suspect the SSD I was using might have been faulty. I have a replacement arriving tomorrow. I will test again after it arrives.
Thanks for re-testing @dszidi. Yes, faulty storage devices are more common than one would imagine.
On the latest build I successfully EFI boot from USB. After installing to disk using the install freebsd.app, it restarts and gets stuck in the boot process. It is not the 0.00 b/s issue. It looks like it is trying to boot from BIOS instead of UEFI. I tried the "load EFI SHELL from filesystem" option on my motherboard setup utility and it says "Not Found"
