Is there a way to delete and edit a message? I know that its still not supported in latest version of ejabberd.

XEP-0308 Last Message Correction is a client feature.

And ejabberd already supports: XEP-0424: Message Retraction and XEP-0425: Moderated Message Retraction

so... with a compatible client you should be able to do these things.
