The Download page says that 229 is the current master version.

Hello, The master version was bumped to 3.229 in September 2023 (https://github.com/processwire/processwire/commit/390ad61ce3d02bf86079384310772590c097e733). Maybe @ryancramerdesign just forgot to add/post the git tag for 3.229.
Changes are added to the dev branch and moved to master only when sufficiently proven to be stable.

The download page shows the 3.229 version linked to the master version on github.

kind regards

Maybe Ryan you want to have a look in automating that process? It can be quite easy :) https://processwire.com/talk/topic/28235-how-to-get-fully-automated-releases-tags-changelog-and-version-numbers-for-your-module-or-processwire-project/

For what it's worth, the differences seem to be fairly significant: "32 changed files with 296 additions and 180 deletions".
