TDLib (Telegram Database Library) — is a cross-platform, fully functional Telegram client, written in C++. It is designed to simplify creation of a custom Telegram client. Seems like Telegram developers also have (or had tho I suggest not believing information about Telegram X until confirmed by official Telegram LLP) plans on porting Android version to this library. Maybe there is profit, since mobile Internet connection usually unreliable, and this library is said to be stable on unreliable network connection. Maybe they're using some magical tricks and stuff which Desktop version don't have by default.
