!impersonate command #24

Like !say but with a nickname, this might be a little harder to get parsing right if we allow multi-word nicknames.

Proposal: if the first arg_split starts w/ a quotation mark then treat all characters to the end of the quotation as a nickname. Example:

!impersonate "Justin's is" dumb becomes: Justin's is: dumb

Funny prank but may be kinda annoying after a while.

I mean it's not necessarily to impersonate another user, it's more of just a more customizeable version of !ayy or !me2, and since it says "bot" next to the nickname anyways I don't see it being too bad

lahlidahlia commented 7 years ago

On chat it doesn't really say BOT next to the nick name unless you click on it.

Is that only on mobile? This is what I'm seeing on desktop

And that happens all the time

Strike that, I'm seeing the [BOT] tag pop up just to the right of the nickname on mobile too.

Is it a setting or something that causes the bot tag to not pop up? Cause I can't seem to duplicate the behavior you're describing
