[0.3.0.RC1] Black screen after start

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Copy savegame_manager.nds and savegame_manager.ini to Acekard 2i (AKAIO 
1.8.7)
2. Setup INI as usual
3. Run savegame manager from Nindendo DS Lite

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected to see anything like it was in 0.2.4. Instead there was just a black 
screen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
* savegame manager 0.3.0.RC1
* AKAIO 1.8.7 at Acekard 2i

Please provide any additional information below.
INI file was configured the same way for both 0.2.4 and 0.3.0.RC1.

Similar issue as the original poster: I'm using AKAIO 1.8.8, and the DS Lite 
powers off when I attempt to run the program.

Same issue as original poster.  I will add that the power light goes off when 
the program goes black.  In other words, I start the program, it goes black, 
then the power shuts off on the DS.  

My hardware is DS Lite, and I tested it on both a Supercard DSone and DStwo 
(both running EOS).  I have a 3-in-1 card as well.  I tested it both with it 
installed in slot 2 and without it.  Same results in all cases.

Exact same issue. Power light shuts off on a ds lite when it hits the black

Same black screen issues on R4 WOOD, tested fine on prvious version, always 
have trouble connecting to access point, rudolphs NDS backup tool wifi connects 
no problem.

I had this same issue using AKAIO 1.9

I found out how to make it work though. I downloaded official OS for AK2 and 
AK2i version 4.23, and it loaded up just fine. Obviously the latest version 
wasn't made compatible with the other OS software for cards (no idea why 
though).

I have the same issue (after loading the program, the DS Lite turns off), and 
tried the solution that commenter 7 suggested, but didnt work for me. The 
solution just makes the file load, but I only see a black screen. The DS does 
not turn off anymore, but I don't get anything besides the black screen.

To solve it, put the nds and ini files in the root directory, then, in the ini, 
set the language to lang/template.ini. That solve the issue for me. I hope this 
would help!

Don't even need to put it in the root of the flashcart on my r4i 3ds.  just 
removed the # and set it to lang/template.ini as mentioned above.  ini is also 
in the same folder of the nds file.
