If the view is more publicity for BINK as in #21, then one idea is for a feed that publishes public jams to Facebook and or Twitter automatically for anybody who subscribes to BINK. People could then just retweet or share on their timeline if they are subscribed to the main feed.

I like this idea more and more even for the five people who use it just cause it bypasses having to set up our own notification system.

Of course there’s the notion of the share button and the Tweet to my page button but further, there’s the idea of a BINK Facebook App so to speak. Got to be careful not to make it too visible though because we don’t want it to become another SoundCloud or similar.

Three years have gone by and I'm increasingly disinterested in this idea. Reasons:

1) It requires a lot of maintenance of the code and the configuration to remain compliant with whatever Twitter and FB decide to do with their APIs this month 2) I'm not sure we want everything on BINK to be that public. One of the nice things about it is that nobody knows about it except for musicians and their friends. If we want to publicize/popularize videos and/or tracks, we can always just publish them to FB/Twitter separately.

The only thing this leaves is "I'm a musician and I want to be notified whenever a new jam is posted"... that's trickier.
