Crystal Chests do not show internal items

Steps to Reproduce

Make a crystal chest, put stuff in it. Observe the lack of visible contents.

Still happens in 1.16.3

I am having this issue with 1.12.2 as Well. to expand on it a bit more, after loading the game you can't see the contents of the chests until they are opened but also if you travel far enough away so that the chunk is unloaded it appears to do it also. It's almost like when the chest is getting reloaded or loaded for the first time from save the sub responsible for loading the visual contents of the Chest isn't being called.
