[FEATURE] Test suite for X #35

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. There is no test suite for X as of now, add a test suite, probably make a command for running all the tests.

Describe the solution you'd like (if you have any, already) Add basic unit tests and then add a command for running the tests in setup.py

Note: You can only submit a patch if it is approved by one of the maintainers, otherwise the PR will be rejected.
