Repeatedly Data.gov has received questions about how to get data on Data.gov and whom at their agency they should get in touch with. Here is a recent example from DOD. Presenting this information publicly would also encourage Public Engagement with those who charged with maintaining the harvest source data.json at each agency.

This information is already available on the Project Open Dashboard under the
Human Capitaltab and there has a been a long outstanding issue to make that information more conspicuous there. See: Add POCs listed under Human Capital per milestone to the main page dashboard #76.
