Project Description Toybank, an initiative under The Opentree Foundation is an organization in India that promotes the Right to Play for all children. It provides a platform to all individuals from all ages to participate in this movement of propagating the Right to Childhood. This project is about to automate its toy store/warehouse and play centers activities. And build a system like Inventory management which controls all the stock management activities.

1. Evaluate inventory management tool We are evaluating Odoo open source inventory management software. Link- https://www.odoo.com/page/warehouse

Some features of Odoo listed below

• Odoo Inventory is fully integrated with manufacturing, purchase, and sales and thus keeps every function on the same page
• The software automatically schedules all your orders based on your sales order request
• Automatic inventory tracking in real-time
• Odoo’s easy and intuitive mobile dashboard allows you to control, update and track your orders anywhere and everywhere
• Custom barcode, custom alerts, custom route definition, real-time inventory valuation, and advanced reporting engine are other enhanced features that make this software more functional and usable for the need for Toybanks requirement.

To improve the usability of the system we are checking on the following two approaches,

1. Develop a module within Odoo in line with the mockup/wireframe
2. Develop an app outside Odoo and use Odoo as a data store.

Currently, we have decided to create our own inventory using Drupal8 as a development platform. And based on the discussion with Toybank, we have created detailed mockups for all the workflows and is shared with Toybank.

Toybank team were busy with their meetings in this week hence were not able to provide feedback on the updated mockups. Today we had a call with Vikram at Toybank to discuss on the updated mockups. Based on the discussions we will finalize the mockups by this weekend and will start the development.

The mockups are almost finalized and also got a go-ahead for the implementation process from the client.

So we are checking on the same.

Based on the finalized mockups earlier we have divided the first phase i.e. Inventory Management in different tasks and added it to the PMS Tracker and started the development work.

Our next task is to implement the workflow for Data Entry Admin & Inventory Manager.

Inventory Team is now able to see the pending requests.
