Bibliographic metadata import and parsing via MARC upload or ILS API

I think the use case here is to make Arclight extensible to handle bibliographic and digital object metadata in MARC, DC, or MODS and such, and display records alongside archival components. This is actually really important as most or even all repositories have some sort of bibliographic records. We have separate blacklight apps for a timeline of historical events and rare books that would be wonderful to include in Arclight too, but there will be huge variety in metadata across repositories here. Might be best to aim for documentation on how Arclight could be best locally extended for this and what the field limitations are.
