Multi-lingual search support needed #1811

Here is one curatorial request for one language. Other languages are needed, of course.

I tried several searches using Japanese characters in this Spotlight exhibit (https://exhibits.stanford.edu/time-travel-japan) and none of them worked. They all pulled "no results." This Spotlight exhibit would be much, much better if the searches could be performed in Japanese characters. Thank you!

Some searches in Japanese do return results, for example: https://exhibits.stanford.edu/time-travel-japan/catalog?utf8=%E2%9C%93&exhibit_id=time-travel-japan&search_field=search&q=%E9%99%B8%E5%89%8D%E5%9C%8B%E9%87%91%E8%8F%AF%E5%B1%B1%E7%B8%AE%E5%9C%96

Perhaps you could provide an example search and a sample of the results you might expect.
