As an explanation for those unfamiliar with Drak's previous private development project, it used to have some issues that might have been fixed by now, which he's curious to work on.

The absorb bug refers to a bug where fully absorbed damage would not break crowd control effects, so for example an Gouge would not break from damage if the target had a Power Word: Shield on them. In the intended setting any damage or mana drain breaks crowd control effects.

Rocket Helm used to have a high chance to do nothing on use.

The mid-air mechanic is not blizzlike, yet I find it an engaging mechanic forcing players to be more thoughtful in their usage of cooldowns like Death Coil or Pyroblast. However, having spent the last few years playing on some of the more blizzlike realms and reading multiple arguments about the midair reflect being unfairly easy for the reflector user (even though it still requires reacting to a midair cast that you can potentially use from a very short distance), I've recently started thinking of a middle ground where you immune the casted spell when using the reflector on a midair projectile, and only bounce it back if you've used the reflector before the cast. This would also give people something to counter their returned spells with.

Another less mentioned factor in the old pserver reflector trinkets I personally found engaging was the ability to immune instant area of effect spells with them. It required anticipation and game sense from the reflector user as the abilities countered were instant, and used to balance otherwise rough matchups like Warrior vs Mage.
