PTG apparently disables Firefox's query on close. I really need that as I have more than once accidentally closed Firefox. If PTG is the one disabling that safety feature, it should provide that check itself.

I'm not sure if I understand what exactly mean "query" in this context.

Would you please provide information on what do you expect to do, @projectdelphai?

Edit: Ah, I had one thought. Does it mean the little window, which ask someone to confirm, if the window with x tabs should be closed?

Believe so

Here it is mid-August 2019 and Firefox 68.x.x is released, once again breaking Panorama Tab Groups. None of the saved configurations work and having in excess of 100 tabs spread across 11 groups it would mean going through, recreating the groups and moving the tabs into the appropriate group.

Since none of the saved configurations work, I assume that were I able to create and populate the groups they would vanish as soon as I restsrted Firefox.

Excuse me for saying this, but this is getting old. Isn't there anyone on the Firefox release staff who uses PTG? It would seem that they would at least have a configuration with three groups and a handful of tabs they could test BEFORE they release a new version.

I know there are other people using PTG -- I gather that they are equally inconvenienced and upset by the Mozilla/Firefox team's insensitivity to breaking a very fine and handy previously working extension.

Until PTG get ressurected, if there is any chance of that, I will look once again to Chrome and Microsoft's browser to see if the staff there has seen value in a tab group manager they would support.

@MikeyHagerty Hi, I have several comments on your topic.

About what exactly to you refer with "saved configurations"?

Firefox release staff who uses PTG?

Probably not. This is Addon is an open source project and is not maintained by Mozillas team. But kind a lot of people seems to use it and a tiny fraction (like you) sadly seems to have some trouble using it.

I know there are other people using PTG -- I gather that they are equally inconvenienced and upset by the Mozilla/Firefox team's insensitivity to breaking a very fine and handy previously working extension.

I myself use PTG every day with a Firefox beta release (always a version ahead of the stable release) and encounter no real problems. I don't use this addon exzessive, but I have long sticking tab groups with a total count of more than 50 tabs, which are most of the time silenced in the background.

Until PTG get ressurected, if there is any chance of that, I will look once again to Chrome and Microsoft's browser to see if the staff there has seen value in a tab group manager they would support.

You could help us looking into this issues with creating detailed bug reports (Github issues). Including detailed information about your environment (OS, FF version), your usage profile and step to reproduce your situation.

In addition, neither Chrome or Microsoft or other browsers offer an API to allow tabs to be hidden.
