[Request] Fork Panorama to Chrome? #273

Not exactly an issue, but this extension is the main reason that I use Firefox browser. Unfortunately, the future of Firefox is a bit unclear - Chrome has taken the lion's share of the market while Firefox is losing market share. I've searched the Chrome store for a tab group manager as good as Panorama, but nothing comes close. And I can't imagine not having this degree of tab groups in my browser. Is there any chance that this can be forked to a Chrome version in the near future?

While I still use this addon on a daily basis (work), I would recommend the https://vivaldi.com/ Browser with the most advanced tab management for a wide range of users.

A port of this addon is very unlikely, because of some essential differences within the APIs.

Too bad, but thanks for your recommendation. I checked out vivaldi but although it did have a lot of tab management options, it really doesn't support tab groups. Best it could do was to write a session profile of the current tabs and then allow you to restore that session. But it was by no means a real group manager. I did check out a Chrome extension that comes closest to PTG, but it doesn't have near the features and doesn't have the great GUI of PTG. It's called Sync Tab Groups on the chrome web store at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/sync-tab-groups/gbkddinkjahdfhaiifploahejhmaaeoa

There are tab groups since the beginning, which are can be shown in a second tab row: https://vivaldi.com/features/tab-management/

Even for the mobile version. 😅
