Unable to deploy .NET Core WebJob on Linux App Service using the Azure Portal

Repro steps.

• Crate a Linux App Service Plan and a App Service
• Create a simple .NET Core 8 Console application to run as WebJob.
• dotnet publish
• zip the publish output
• Use the Azure portal WebJob Add option to upload the zip file (used Type: Cotonous and Scale: Single Instance)
• The portal returns an Bad Request Error

The log/error given by the failure.

Using the Log stream of the App Service the following exception is traced:

We are able to deploy our dotnet 8 WebJob to an Linux based App Service using the following:

Environment Variables set on the App Service:

• WEBSITE_WEBDEPLOY_USE_SCM = true
• WEBSITES_ENABLE_APP_SERVICE_STORAGE = true

Automated deployment pipeline in Azure DevOps:

• Task: AzureRmWebAppDeployment@4
• appType: webAppLinux

This works for us and does not show up any problems. However the publishing using the Azure Portal does not work for me (see original issue)
