Updating Version to 1.0.0a1 #59

This pull request updates the version from "1.0.0-alpha" to "1.0.0a1", to be consistent with Conda and PEP 440 specifications.

Note: This will need to be merged into develop, master, and the release branch. We will also need to update the corresponding Bioconda pull request:
