Pitch:

For the Intel interview, I'd like to do two videos. The first would be about mentorship and the second would be about navigating managers and your career path. Here are the points that I would like to include for each video:

Video 1: mentorship

6:10: what was it like to be a woman in IT and how did you network and find career growth? She never saw herself as different. She was good at what she did. She had a lot of male mentors and eventually female mentors too. I love this one! 8:48: How did you select your mentors and what would you look for in a mentee? The people that she helped then helped her. It was a good way to build natural business relationships and mentoring relationships. Additionally, she reached out to people that she looked up to and she would reach out to them.

Video 2: managers and career path

12:20: how did you get along with your manager and what should you strive for in terms of a work environment? If you’re a good employee, both good and bad managers will be happy. You don’t get as much back from a bad manager. So, you’ll want to learn about your manager. Who you work for and what you do are equally important. I like this a lot!! 15:53: What are some of the major inflection points in your career, and how can students manage those moments? Keep your career destination open until you’re later in your career. That being said, have a career plan. Figure out what you like to do, the environment that works for you, and refine that as you go in order to have the best possible career path. Great!!
