There's presently no docs on what the remote read protocol (https://prometheus.io/docs/prometheus/latest/configuration/configuration/#remote_read) looks like.

Potentially some information could be gathered from https://prometheus.io/blog/2019/10/10/remote-read-meets-streaming/#remote-apis And then added as something in a new page https://prometheus.io/docs/prometheus/latest/remote_api
