We will need to submit intro & deep dive, as always.

beorn7 commented 4 years ago

Who wants to volunteer? (I guess, it will be possible to swap out speakers as usual.) I'm pretty sure I'll go there. (I have also volunteered for the PC.) So I can act as a filler, but it's of course better if those submit that will most likely end up as the actual official speakers. A also assume that the intros & deep dives won't have the same tight deadline.

I'm planning on going, plus volunteered for PC. I guess we should wait to see which of our talks get accepted. I'll probably try my openmetrics one again (one I gave at PromCon basically).

For San Diego, we had special forms for all member project intro/deep dive. I plan to attend and would like to do 1-2 talks. Somewhat tempted to flesh out the ModBus talk with specific examples, but torn.

@juliusv has (AFAIK) registered the intro session.

I have just registered the deep-dive session with the following abstract: "The Prometheus deep-dive will present advanced use cases, in particular how to run and scale up a vanilla Prometheus setup for large organizations. A number of Prometheus maintainers will be around for the Q&A."

And @brian-brazil has just registered the full-time kiosk in the Project Pavilion.

The program is out: https://kccnceu20.sched.com/

Note that we'll change the speaker of the deep dive after all. Prometheus deep-dive will be given by @bwplotka and @gouthamve . Prometheus intro stays with @juliusv .

Other Prometheus-related talks (that I could identify as such):

15 talks! Also note that 5 of the 12 talks in the Observability category mention Prometheus. Not bad for a tool that isn't even an observability tool…

Amazing (:

 postponed due to :face_with_thermometer:

New date set. Let's hope it will work out. Plan is to have a virtual event if not.

beorn7 commented 4 years ago

Will happen as an online event 2020-08-17→20.
