No tasks without start date possible? #112

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enter a new task
2. Select scheduling
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
That it would be possible to only have a due date. Instead I see that I
have to enter a start date as well, or the program fills one in itself.
This makes some weird syncing with GTDify.com

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.4.2 on Android 1.5

Please provide any additional information below.

I agree, and it would appear to me that, if I do enter a start date, it should
sync
with the TRACKS (gtdify.com) "Show From" date. Right?

Why is there a start date anyway .. its not filtered by that in next actions a
all I
need to know is when to finish to see it in due actions.

I agree with this request.

What is "start date" used for in Shuffle? If it's just used in the integration
to Google Calendar then it's not applicable for all kinds of tasks, only those
that require a specific planned time slot.

A "show from" / "hide until" date would be a lot more useful. Would also
support Issue 89: Enhancement: Defer Actions.

"Due date", "show from" and "start date" should be independent - any one of
them blank even if others are set.

Just have Due date and show from in 2.0.0 only one of which needs specifying
when creating calendar entry
