Are recurring payments with Google Pay supported? #143

On behalf of customer:

I'm selling a course with learndash and have memberpress installed as my membership integration. Pronamic can add more payment solutions to memberpress. I purchased the plugin hoping I would be able to offer google pay. Can you help me?

Our first response:

Google Pay is supported in our plugin with payment provider Adyen. However, as you mentioned MemberPress, I assume you want to use recurring payments for the memberships? Unfortunately, recurring payments are not yet supported with Adyen.

Customer:

Mmm. I really need for recurring payments. Can I get a refund?

How can we clarify support of recurring payments with Google Pay?

@LeoOosterloo can you think about this from a marketing/content perspective?

On https://developers.google.com/pay/api#participating-processors is an overview of the Payments Service Providers.

In addition to Adyen, we may already support via Pay.nl?

It is also not always clear to other users how and whether recurring payments are supported. Feedback from a Formidable Forms user who thought recurring payments would just work:

Bij de prijzen - prachtige opsommingen, die sterk op elkaar lijken. Ik zie verschillen in payment providers en aantallen websites. Ik kies voor Basic, dat moet afdoende zijn.

We need to clarify this to avoid dissatisfied users and refunds.
