Using token instead of authorization?

I try to make a get request using a token instead of a user/pw. Token is put into request header but always getting an error "?". In postman ther request works fine. is there any easy solution?

Thanks for trying Generator :-)

If you can post some more details about what it is you are trying to do, I am sure we can figure it out. You could export the request.json and attach it here. Or you could just attach the Generator file you are using that is showing the errors.

Without something like that or a lot more information about the API and token, I wouldn't even know where to start looking. Sorry.

so we have this web service to get data as a json file.
e.g. we have a quality profile of of a building. For that I used the postman application and instead of a username and password I used a token. Now setting the headers in generator and doing the request I am not getting any data. my guess is its because i dont use a password but a token. thanks for your help!

That should work. Generator should be able to the same things that Postman can do. Unless you share the exact details of the request you are trying to make I can only guess what the problem is.

You might want to make sure that you have an Accept header in Generator. Postman likely adds this for you. So may you not know that it is there.

If you can share the Generator file, I am sure I can help. If you want to send it to support@geistinteractive.com, you can.

Or can you tell me what the API is that you are working with. It is public? Does it have documentation?

Without something more to work with I can't help.

I switched the whole system to english and its still not working, also the file you sent. Or what did you mean by language problem?

As you can see from the File I sent you, it worked. I got back the JSON response.

I am using FileMaker 15, I also tested it with FileMaker 14.0.06 Mac OS Sierra The latest base elements plugin English language.

What sort of response are you getting? Did you try running it in debugger?

That is odd. I switched the language to english and Downloaded the Base Elements Plug-in again. As a response I get “?”. The debugger doesn't show any bugs.

Yes the debugger does show a bug. The "?" is a bug. The question is when does that appear.

well yes and no. The base elements plugin exposes all the cURL options so you could probably get it to work, if you made some change to the code. But, this is not something we can support right now.
