8 years ago The notification layout is not specialised for Property Lists, its a generic layout for Notification emails.
The email template fields are
- Subject:
- Title
- Sub Title
- Body
- Footer Message
- Button Link Label
- Button Link Address
The Notification fields are:
- Timestamp
- Subject
- Body
- ImageUrl*
- Type (notice|message|task)
- DeliveryType (normal|noticeOnly)
- ReferenceId (Id of the reference topic, i.e. Property List Id)
- ReferenceLabel (label for the reference topic , i.e. Property List Name)
- ReferenceType (a key for the reference type, i.e. property-list)
- ReferenceSubType* (a key for the reference sub type event, i.e. property-list-renamed, property-list-listing-added)
- AuthorName* (the name of the person who triggered the event)
- AuthorId* (the user id of the person who triggered the event)
Fields with a * can be empty
The STANDARD current mapping for Notification to Email is as follows:
- Email.Subject = Notification.ReferenceLabel + Notification.Subject
- Email.Body = Notification.Body
- Email.Title = Notification.Subject
- Email.SubTitle = Notification.ReferenceLabel
- Email.Footer = "For more details open this notification up in Property Compass"
- Email.LinkLabel = "Open"
So what we can do ;
- Adjust the mapping of the standard notifications to better inform the user
- Adjust the layout of the email template if fields could be better presented in a different layout
- Technically we can correct a "property-list" specific mapping however I would (for now) prefer to standardise the notification mapping
- Create a new email template at SendGrid
Your suggested layout in your post would involve 3). Since it is Property List specific. It also includes 1 or 4) since it requires the email template to be modified or a new email template to be defined
So given the above mate, what do you think?
