Utili Integration Problems - No Commercial Property Type & Let Agreed Availability #202

Closed MissyHelliot closed 1 year ago

Hi,

My clients want to stay with Utili as their provider and I've connected the API via the Hive import feed add-on. Largely works as expected but there are some problems which I haven't found a workaround for!

  1. Under residential lettings - the let agreed status doesn't sync. It just stays as 'to let / available'. We can manually amend it on the WP backend, and Utili doesn't change the setting upon sync.

  2. They sell commercial properties but I've struggled to get Hive to see the commercial properties. They're in Utili as rogue options without a parent (appearing just under 'sales' or 'lettings', not their own lead property type). Setting them all as 'commercial property' in Utili doesn't tell Hive that they belong in the commercial parent category, meaning they display with residential properties under 'for sale' or 'to let'. If I update the property type to 'commercial' in Hive, Utili will overwrite it in the next sync.

If anyone has a workaround to make these two functions play ball, I'd be grateful for the pointers. I've tried creating new custom fields for availability and property type, but no joy in getting them to communicate with Utili.

@MissyHelliot

Happy to help. Re your queries:

1) I suspect a new mapping might need to be setup in the import settings where you map the custom fields:

I'm not sure what the status is for let agreed properties but if you map 'Let Agreed' on the left to 'Let Agreed' in Hive, and run another import, does that then work?

2) I can see we don't identify properties as commercial in the Utili import, mainly because we don't know how (i.e. do they have a dedicated commercial flag, or do they use a property type etc). I think realistically I'd need to see how the data is coming through from Utili to comment and advise. Would it be possible to send through the Utili API details to info@wp-property-hive.com and I'll take a look?

Hi, apologies for the delay but I'm on contract for this one.

I'm not seeing any options for 'import properties' [image: image.png] It's set to automate to Utili with the API and imports everything automatically. There is no secondary menu to control mapping that I can see.

Under custom fields > availabilities thereit shows availabilities as expected:

but there are only the options to apply it to parent categories (which is already correctly set)

Found the options, so hopefully fixed up (clearly need more coffee)

Re: commercial properties, utili doesn't have a parent category for it - it falls as a property type under sales or lettings (so there are silly options like bar, cafe and 'commercial' property under the for sale property types and for rent property types. Is there any simple way to map this without a parent category for commercial?

@MissyHelliot Just a quick update to say that I've added support for commercial properties imported via Utili for the next version of the Property Import add on (version 1.3.05), likely officially released next week.

If you need it sooner than this, please email info@wp-property-hive.com referencing this thread where I'll be happy to send this through.

In the new version, if a property is received with a commercial-esque type (i.e. office etc) we will set to the commercial department accordingly.

Thanks, Steve
