Added unittests for proplot #458

As it says on the tin. The goal is to provide a base unittest suite for proplot to move forward. Proplot is slowly falling behind with matplotlib, creating a divide for new and persistent users.

Continuation of https://github.com/proplot-dev/proplot/pull/413

This PR combines #413 and adds a few examples from the docs to ensure a baseline for future changes.
