I've definitely failed to successfully communicate what was in my head with my "PL Research is dead, long live PL Research". We set a mission for Network Goods at our team week, but we didn't set that for PL Research, and while the people of PL Research's Research PM team became the Network Goods team, the PL Research team still exists and didn't change its mission. In my mind, this is what the two groups look like
Network Goods = {NF, NR, RA, NG people, tech ops, events, marketing} PL Research = {ResDev (e.g. cryptonet, cryptoecon, consensuslab, lurk, probelab, all their collaborators), also RESEARCH ACCELERATION}.
And that's why I think it doesn't make sense for everyone to write a "hello world" blogpost for the research website, because everyone who joins Network Goods isn't necessarily joining PL Research. When we make an IncentiveLab, that'll also be part of PL Research; hopefully that makes sense.
I'm starting a thread in discord where there'll be more visibility for rapid-paced discussion, and we can checkpoint conclusions here, but I think we should switch the mission back.
Also, apologies for not starting to revert this myself - I'm replying in offline-mode at 30k' in an aluminum tube over the gulf of Mexico.
