OSD outputs no info on Pixhawk

What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Firmware flashed to Planev2.2, settings changed with Config tool v2.2, OSD 
works when hooked to FTDI and Tlog output sent, but stays on boot screen when 
connected to pixhawk. OSD worked correctly when using original firmware 
(version unknown) 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Tried on both official 3DR minmumOSD as well as an RCtimer version. Both 
exhibit the same behaviour.

Please provide any additional information below.
Using on Pixhawk with latest Arduplane firmware, set serial settings per Wiki 
instructions. Tried flight mode change, all channel options, same result. OSD 
shows the boot scroll and then sits at logo screen, no status message seen. 
Heartbeats seen via LED, as stated worked fine with stock firmware.

Similar to issue 82 I posted. If you have a 3DR Radio (mavlink radio) have you 
tried it with that connected as well and the MinimOSD TX wire isolated (3DR 
radio as the master device)?

Yes, originally built my own cable, and tried a variety of ways, now I 
purchased the 3dr cable and still no luck. I have seen it say "no heartbeat 
received". Sfarthing to wonder if the FTDI dongle is wrong voltage. Using the 
sparkfun 5v.
