Compare with JamesB192 overlay #1

Based on https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/gentoo-update-needed/3029 it looks like JamesB192 has the most up-to-date versions of snapd (https://github.com/JamesB192/JamesB192-overlay). However, I would prefer to use an overlay available via layman. Any chance your efforts can be combined?

ahhh that's a new one i haven't heard of. this snapd isn't functional and has experienced difficulties becoming so, so this may indeed be a hidden treasure so to speak. i'll test it out and get back to you on that

ebuilds have been added for now, going to ask the author if they wanted to help. i'll leave this issue open seeing as i still can't seem to get snapd to function (can you?)
