Sorting sections in Thunderbird Unified Folders view #65

I have about half a dozen email accounts, and use Thunderbird on my PC so I can access them all in one place. I like the Unified view, which lets me see al my inboxes in one section, all my sent in another, all my deleted in another, etc etc etc.

What I don't like about the Unified view is the order of the groupings. It is: Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Archives, Junk, Deleted, Outbox, then each of my half dozen email account with any additional subfolders. It's not too bad when everything is collapsed, but when any of the sections aren't collapsed it becomes a pain.

I'd really like to be able to move these sections/groupings around so that the groupings better suit my needs. For example, Inbox, Sent, Deleted, and one particular email addresses subfolders at the top, and then the rest. (Or have the rest not appear in the view at all).

Is this somethnig you might be able to do with Manually-Sort-Folders, please?

Thanks for reading.

This feature has been missing for a long time and I would be very happy if it would be implemented at some point. Especially for power users with 10+ connected mail accounts the Unified Folders view is absolutely essential. In my opinion this feature is more an aesthetic than a functional optimization, so I understand if the feature request has low priority.

Anyways, thanks for your work on this must-have extension!

Do you still have this issue solved? If so, what is the difference between expected and actual?

I would also like to see this feature added.
