There is a significant risk when using certain brands of 18650 batteries that the battery wrapper will get caught on the battery holder tabs, when you are trying to pull them out, and cause a short between B+ and B-. This results in the catastrophic loss of functionality and actual fire in some cases!
Included are some photos of this happening with the Mt. Sac team.
This risk can be mitigated with a better procedure for inserting and removing the batteries, but I think it would be a good idea to consider a part number change to improve the means of battery holding and also mitigate this fire risk.
