Weird, I cannot find us mentioning the Wi-Fi in any promo materials, please send me a link to the web archive or somewhere where we said it has wifi I seriously cannot find it. So maybe the marketing is already retracted if it even existed before.
Not a PR person, just a dev intrigued by the situation <3
Observed Behavior:
Using either Prusa Slic3r or the web UI to upload gcode the upload speed is incredibly slow - ~2.3kb/s on average.
As the XL generates much larger files than MK4 this results in file upload times of 10-12 minutes.
The upload is so slow that frequently there are timeouts, meaning the process must be started again.
Expected behavior:
The Prusa XL is marketed as having Wifi and the ability to upload files to the machine via wifi.
The expectation as a customer is that this marketing claim results in 'normal' wifi upload speeds of files to the printer - 100mbit+ given the current spec is wifi 6 and a/b/g/n are all capable of high file transfer speeds.
It should not take 10 minutes to upload a 50mb file on a local network because this speed is functionally useless due to the excessive wait time needed and frequent need to re-try due to timeout issues from the slow speeds.
Or if this issue cannot be fixed the marketing claims around this feature should be retracted as while technically accurate (you can upload a toy model) this functionality is in practice not usable.
