Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Im always annoyed by the "Inches" option in the Plater.

Describe the solution you'd like Id prefer to have support for Imperial Units via the preferences.

Describe how it would work To enable Inches support, one would have to enter preferences, and toggle:Support for Imperial units.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Additional context Also, there's an option to import STL (Imperial Units). Why this differance in nomenclature?

I agree that mixing Imperial and Metric is an issue. Most things are metric, but some are Imperial. I was surprised, for example, that the Measure Tool outputs in inches not mm.
