1 month ago Hello @markusdd thank you for reporting this. Would you, please, provide us with a zip of your configuration folder and the 3MF project you are opening? (If the project is not free to share, the config folder alone would help too).
Also if you are fixing profiles manually, the Configuration Snapshots function might be useful.
Description of the bug
1) after upgrading to 2.8 my physical printer profiles were all gone 2) when opening existing projects, they now do not map to my correct printer anymore but to a 3mf-specific printer and the settings are all magled 3) also, the FIlament settings are not correctly ported over and although I e.g. did nothing to my standard 0.2mm profile that I ahve been using forever, now suddenly I have weird configuration diffs
Sorry, this update is EXTREMELY annoying and apparently untested. All my projects and settings are essentially destroyed and now I have to manually fix up all my existing projects because nothing maps to the existing filament and printer settings anymore. And just flat out deleting my physical printer profiles is also...interesting. To say the least.
What's the recommendation to properly migrate from 2.7 so this does not happen? I really feel compelled to uninstall 2.8 because the current state is a disaster.
