Feature suggestion: paint on wall thickness (perimeter count)

This is a feature suggestion for applying modifiers via the paint tool.

An example application would be painting the walls of a bolt hole to selectively increase contours to those faces.

I think the most applicable parameters would be perimeter counts, other might be more problematic to deploy.

It seems to me that it would not be easy to implement, but it would be very useful so it would be worth it.
