Bridge settings improvement and suggestions #4952

Open zsolt320i opened 3 years ago

Version

Prusa Slicer 2.2.0 & for the future releases_

Operating system type + version

Windows 10 64

3D printer brand / version + firmware version (if known)

Ender 3,Marlin 2.0.6.1

Behavior

With the actual setup of the bridging settings i'm not able to make a good quality of bridging. The bridging is always sagging even if I'm using low speed and high cooling, nor high speed high cooling and any of this variation

Is this a new feature request?

Regarding this problem i have 3 suggestion/proposal which would help on the problem described above:

  1. To be able to setup/mark manually the bridging and overhangs areas. (in special cases it would be very useful).

  2. To be able to define a distance before starting bridge printing where the bridging speed would have been already applied. E.g. If you would set 1mm, then with 1mm before bridging the printing speed would already slowing down to bridging print speed e.g.: 20mm/s.

  3. To be able to define a distance before starting bridge printing where the cooling speed would have been already applied. E.g. If you would set 1mm, then with 1mm before bridging the cooling speed would already going up to bridging cooling speed e.g.: 80%. Why it is important? Because it is not possible to apply the bridge settings instantly at the nozzle, mainly at the printers with bowden tube. Actually for me the begging of the bridging is the worst (Ender 3 with bowden tube), because at this moment the material is still flowing like crazy, and the cooling is still not efficient because the high cooling just started.

Pls consider for implementation.

Thank You!

Project File (.3MF) where problem occurs

Upload a PrusaSlicer Project File (.3MF) (Plater -> Export plate as 3MF for Slic3r PE 1.41.2 and older, File -> Save / Save Project for PrusaSlicer, Slic3r PE 1.42.0-alpha and newer) Images (PNG, GIF, JPEG), PDFs or text files could be drag & dropped to the issue directly, while all other files need to be zipped first (.zip, .gz)

i agree, when bridging another pattern should also be chosen so that printing in the air is not necessary
