Vase mode really could have a bit of extra feature, that is the Nozzle Position. In conventional printing, the nozzle were calculated to be inside the shell of the 3d model face/polygon as much as possible and this can be seen in print preview.
I would like request a new Nozzle Position feature for the vase mode.
Picture above is the print preview with 'shell' enabled, with the Nozzle Position, there will be 3 options
Inside the shell - This is the classic and default way of handling things
At the shell - This will put the nozzle in the middle of the shell as much as possible
Outside the shell - This will position the nozzle outside the shell, making it like a 'mold' feature in cura
As of now, I only can think that having this implemented in XY axis as having Z axis included will make things more complicated but I think the dev team can do this with all XYZ. This idea also similar as milling cnc machine from outside/inside and laser cnc machine to cut right in the middle.
Also, I believe with this feature, will open up a bit of extra possibilities that may not be thought of yet
this is a nice example where the "At the shell" option would be used:

currently it is not possible to slice this as intended using prusa slicer
