Replace GPL with a more permissive license, like BSD or MIT #11

I am developing a project for the state government of my country, and unfortunately, my leadership changed his mind and would not let me open the code.

I know this is a stupid request, so excuse me for that.

Is possible to do this replacement?

I'm not sure if this is really needed. AFAIK you only need to release source code if you made some changes and are distributing them. But I'm not lawyer ;) I can bump to 0.6.2 with MIT license instead of GPL, i'm not really attached to it ;)
