This makes metastore more attractive for users who just want to use it with git and something that just works.

Basic information has been put in README with 8fb19e5f2236. Any more thorough git+metastore walkthrough will need a separate file. It won't happen before upcoming v1.1.0, unless someone will send a decent pull request soon.
