Describe the issue

This game gets black screen after the PS2 logo in the latest beta. VF4E works perfectly with 2049 compilation. No VMC or compatibility modes used.

Console model

SCPH-90001

OPL version / revision

1.2.0 2081

In which device(s) have you experienced this issue?

USB

Context and extra information

No response

The game still works fine on MX4SIO and HDD with latest 2081 build on my tests so it's an USB-only issue.

Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution [SLUS_206.16]:

OPL Beta 1.2.0 2077 USB - works well (ISO & ZSO) OPL Beta 1.2.0 2078 USB - black screen on startup (ISO & ZSO)

OPL Beta 1.2.0 2081 SMB - works well (ISO & ZSO) OPL Beta 1.2.0 2081 USB - black screen on startup (ISO & ZSO)

My PS2 model is SCPH-90008. Compatibility modes do not help. I use redump images and don't use PADEMU, VMC, GSM.

Feezes after printing the following lines:

  CRI ADX Driver Ver.8.34(Oct 21 2002 15:08:20)
CRI ADX Driver : Thread Priority = 39
CRI ADX Driver : SPU CORE Number = 1
CRI ADX Driver : sceSdInit(SD_INIT_COLD) call.

Faking the "CRI_ADX_Driver" will make the loading continue, but crash in a later moment. Probably becouse of the missing ADX sound driver.

Is there any relation between the USB driver and the SPU core 1 that could cause conflict?

@AKuHAK, @rickgaiser, @uyjulian, @fjtrujy, @israpps, maybe krat0s can help with this and that?

TacvicomGN commented 2 weeks ago

Today's report: USB compatibility is back using Beta 2125.
