Using the latest beta (and I think the previous version since I updated to 2082 when I noticed the issue originally) Xenosaga Episode II seems to crash during loading at apparently random points. Sometimes it will crash when loading a save file, sometimes it will work fine for a little while but eventually crash during a scene change in gameplay or even between cutscenes. The hard drive access light seems to be stuck when this occurs.
Enabling mode 1 may be fixing the issue but I can't say for certain and not even sure if it's the right mode to test, just haven't played for a long enough session with it on. GSM and pademu are both disabled and the console is not hard modded and I'm using the OEM network adapter.
Edit: I got a save game load lock-up just now at the point in the game where I needed to switch to disc 2 while mode 1 is enabled so the above is not a solution but I did have a few hours long play session before that lock up which is much longer than I had been able to go without mode 1 enabled. I'm trying mode 2 now.
Edit 2: Mode 2 does not solve the issue, had a load lock entering a battle.
Edit 3 (04/15/24): I've downgraded to v.1.1.0 and this build seems overall more stable with this particular game. I'm not using any modes and have played for many more hours without in-game lockups and only two save game load lockups.
