[ISSUE] Dark screen when loading latest 1708 beta with a iHDD installed

Describe the issue Hi , i want to report a Issue on latest beta of OPL (1708)

The issue that happens is if i have a iHDD plugged in when i load the OPL it starts with the typical System Configuration glitched image that always appear but after that will be a dark screen and never loads the OPL . I have tried to delete settings (erase the CFG's in the +OPL partition) , try with another hard disk also tried in another PS2 that i have

My setup: OPL Build 1708 (1.00 stable runs good) Official SCPH-10350 (i have a counterfeit too but i don't have tested on it)

Hard Drives Tested:

Hitachi DeskStar HDS722580VLAT20 (80GB PATA) Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 ST3120022A (120GB PATA) Browser 2.0 installed

PS2 Used for the test: SCPH-39001 (Romver 1.60) with Modbo 5.0 disabled mode SCPH-30001 (Romver 1.50) with OG Matrix Infinity Orange Dot in Disabled Mode SCPH-30001 (Romver 1.10) with Modbo 5.0 disabled mode

Configuration (please complete the following information):

• Console Model: SCPH-30001 (early)/SCPH-30001(Late)/SCPH-39001
• Open PS2 Loader revision: OPL 1.1.0 Beta 1708
• Open PS2 Loader mode: any
• Information about affected games (if any): none

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to UlaunchELF (Hard drive must be plugged in)
2. Search the OPL ELF
3. Just run it

@uyjulian @fjtrujy @rickgaiser this bug isn't presented in 1703, so I assume that this problem is related to ps2sdk changes or newlib changes. I was not able to narrow down which exactly change caused this to happen but now this bug appears in opl and wlaunchelf as well, looks like opl freeze on dev9 module load

I have the same problem on SCPH-77004. So even without NA.

BTW I have noticed that I'm hearing Boot sound. After this sound all I can see is: All I can do is switch off the console by the button (console's button).

Everything was fine in OPL-v1.1.0-Beta-1703-4c44ccd.

I'm experiencing the same issue, wiping out the entire config ain't help.

Hello. I have the same problem with a 7004. It tries to load the opl but is left with a black screen and only the console can be restarted. The latest version that has worked for me is opl v1.1.0-Beta-DB-2027-48f95c9. The others that I have downloaded from this GitHub in the last days, have given me the black screen bug. Greetings.

Thanks. Additionally I have tried v1.1.0-Beta-1717-a8d9a39 on SCPH-50004 & SCPH-77004. As you wrote the problem has been fixed.
