[ISSUE]: Karaoke Revolution (all titles) Konami screen freeze

Describe the issue

Anytime I try to load one of the Karaoke Revolution games, the Konami logo screen stays frozen and the game doesn't proceed to the menu.

Ahh, got an update. If I load the games without the USB microphone (using the rock band usb mic for ps2) plugged in, they load perfectly. If I plug the mic in while the game is running, the whole system freezes. So the issue has to do with my mic being plugged in.

Additional Update: It looks like this issue exists in all 1.0 releases, but not in .9 OPL.

Are you playing from an internal HDD? Or from USB attached HDD?

Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol = SLUS_215.40 got past the konami screen, but the game is virtually unplayable because as soon as i plug a supported USB microphone to the usb of the ps2, the console crashes and the anolog led on the dualshock 2 turn off. i had to manually hard-reset the console.
