I also noticed this behaviour on DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and it appeared there randomly or more often sometimes. The game simply gets stuck on a black screen. Only tried it on MX4SIO though and not SMB yet and I tried mode 1 and mode 2 enabled only.
I tried to play the Black Pearl stage of mission mode and it hangs after the first fight but with the wind sound still playing, i reset and tried again and i played a number of rounds until it freezes again, yet after another reset it hangs when the map of mission mode shows up, all of it with mode 2 but it doesn't seem to be significant since now i'm testing USB without it and i still get these random freezes
Tested again with the latest beta (1956) and it takes about 12 or more loading/transitions for the game to freeze, i tried every mode and the pettern is the same on both SMB and USB, i also tried older OPL versions and it's about the same
@AKuHAK OPL Beta 2045: on USB i lasted about 2 hours before freezing, on SMB i didn't last that long thought
@AKuHAK Played now on the latest beta (2048) via USB and since i'm stuck on a level in Mission Mode i have to re-start the level alot the game freezer at the loading screen this time much sooner than before, same with SMB it's unpredictable how many loading screens it takes to freeze.

Describe the issue
Occasionally the game will freeze on the loading or transition screen, i don't know what triggers it, it can happen randomly like after 3 battles in story mode or after completing one or two chapters, or after a about 5 or 6 battles on the Black Pearl Stage in mission mode (in this case the music was still playing in the background while video froze) i thought the issue was my SMB connection but this happen on USB too, i tried mode 1 and 6 and they don't improve it, with mode 2 i almost completed the story mode from beginning to end until it froze right before the saving to memory card screen
